Stacker uPVC Windows Melbourne
Stacker windows solve a specific problem: how to open a wide window frame without the complexity of bi-fold hardware or the size limitations of standard sliding configurations. Multiple operable panels slide in the same direction and stack behind a fixed end panel, leaving the majority of the frame opening completely clear. The smooth top-hung operation and large clear aperture make stacker windows a compelling choice for wide openings where maximum ventilation and view are the priority.

Multiple Panels, Maximum Opening
A standard 2-lite sliding window opens approximately half its width — one panel slides behind the other. A stacker window with three or four panels can open up to three-quarters or more of the total frame width by sliding all operable panels to stack behind a single fixed panel. This dramatically larger clear aperture provides significantly better ventilation and an unobstructed view through most of the opening. For wide kitchen servery windows, wide living area windows and other large openings, stackers deliver what conventional sliders cannot.
Top-Hung for Smooth Operation
Stacker windows use a top-hung track system where the panels hang from the top rail and are guided at the bottom. This arrangement means the panels glide smoothly regardless of the floor or sill surface, without the accumulation of dirt and debris in a bottom track that can affect ground-running sliders. The top-hung system also allows the bottom rail to be kept low-profile, minimising the sill obstruction.
