How Bi-Fold Doors Work
Each panel is hinged to the adjacent panel, and the entire set folds accordion-style to stack neatly at one end (or both ends) of the opening. The panels travel along a top-hung track system with guide rollers at the base. When folded, the panels occupy approximately 15-20% of the total opening width, leaving the remainder completely clear for an open indoor-outdoor connection.

Novalite uPVC bi-fold doors use multi-chambered uPVC profiles at every panel junction — the same profiles as our windows — providing thermal performance dramatically superior to aluminium bi-fold alternatives. Each panel contains a double glazed argon-filled unit with Low-E glass as standard.
